Pyrocarbon-based Implants

The Pyrocarbon Radial Head System is a modular implant for the reconstruction of the proximal radius. The system consists of a titanium expandable stem, a titanium angled neck, and a pyrolytic carbon articulator head.

The Pyrocarbon CMI is designed to relieve basal thumb joint pain associated with early stage CMC arthritis. This pioneering pyrocarbon implant is intended to improve the thumb's range of motion and biomechanical function, and restore strength, mobility, and long-term stability to the failed or deficient trapeziometacarpal joint.

The Pyrocarbon PI2 is pyrolytic carbon orthopedic implant designed to replace the trapezium bone in the wrist joint. Ideal for mid-stage arthritis, the PI2 fills the space created by resection of the trapezium. It acts as a mobile but stable spacer, maintaining the length of the column of the thumb.
